A food bank in Wimborne was broken into during the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Staff and students at Queen Elizabeth’s School in Wimborne collected over 100 chocolate eggs for a local food bank.

Savoury snacks, cakes, mince pies and boxes of chocolates filled five large boxes to be donated to the food bank.

A community garden in Wimborne was declared the Winning Community Garden at the South & South East In Bloom Awards on 20 September.

A funday organised by Wimborne Food Bank on Saturday 27 July was attended by more than 400 people and raised over £500 in donations.

Boomerang bags, which are designed to be re-used, have been made in quantity by Wimborne War on Waste’s Bag & Bunting team.

Haywire, a four-piece harmony band, that have been together for 50 years played their last gig at Hamworthy Recreation Club.

For the second time this year the club is holding an exhibition, this time a Christmas one at Pamphill Parish Hall.
