Adventure fun day on Wimborne Minster Green raises over £3,000

Events taking place on Saturday 18 September include a climbing wall and a Teddy Bear Zip Dip – so bring your teddy.
The ordinations of The Rev Nick Well and the Rev Sharon Boyle by the Bishop of Salisbury took place in Salisbury Cathedral.
There will be a whole host of activities at this fun day which will raise funds for Minster Makes Music Appeal.
Wimborne Minster Church paid tribute to those who have died from Covid-19 over the past year with a service on Zoom.
Local people tested their tossing skills by taking part in a virtual pancake event this year, organised by Wimborne BID.
It will be different this year, but people will be able to enter by filming themselves tossing a pancake for 30 seconds and posting to Facebook.
Churches such as Wimborne Minster have held poignant services in previous years, but you can still mark the day online.
The decision to close the church has been made in order to keep worshippers – who live in both Tiers 3 and 4 – safe.
In the absence of the Carols in the Cornmarket and the shoppers’ carol service it is hoped this will bring cheer to shoppers.
