Teenager arrested following Bournemouth hit-and-run
Anyone who witnessed the collision outside Tesco Express in Charminster Road should contact Dorset Police.
A teenager was arrested following a collision in which a woman in her 60s was seriously injured on Charminster Road.
The collision occurred at around 8.05pm on Sunday 25 January and involved the pedestrian, a black Honda NSC 110 scooter and a stationary BMW that was parked outside Tesco Express.
Officers attended and it is reported that the rider of the motorcycle fled the scene. Following enquiries, a 16-year-old boy from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Police Sergeant Paul Hind, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to please come forward.
“I am also keen to speak with any motorists who were travelling along Charminster Road and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.”
