Investigations are continuing following the altercation which took place at Slades Farm playing fields on Sunday 27 October.
A large group of young people were involved in a fight on Sunday 27 October at Slades Farm playing fields in which a teenager received injuries.
Dorset Police received the report at 3.20pm involving an altercation in which a teenage boy was punched to the ground by one of the group before he was repeatedly kicked by the rest of the group.
It was further reported that two of the group were in possession of a knife and an imitation firearm and made threats to members of the public in the area.
Officers attended the incident and following enquiries, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy – both from Bournemouth – were arrested on suspicion of assault, affray and weapons offences. They have been released on police bail as officers continue their investigation.
Detective Constable Ryan Higgins, of Bournemouth CID, said: “Our investigation into this incident remains ongoing. I understand that there were a number of witnesses at the scene who may have seen what happened, so I am keen to hear from anyone who has not already spoken to police.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured any relevant dashcam, home CCTV or mobile phone footage.”
