Top Dorset apprentices announced
This year’s Dorset Apprenticeship Awards were held at Superior Seals in Ferndown and attended by several dignitaries.
Ferndown-based Superior Seals Limited hosted this year’s Dorset Apprenticeship Awards, which saw winners in five categories.
They were: Maisie Sansom: Supported Internship; William Trowbridge: Intermediate – Level 2; Oliver Barge: Advanced – Level 3; Brian Bartlett: Higher – Levels 4 and 5; and Laura Davis: Degree – Levels 6 and 7.
Dorset Chamber and Dorset and Somerset Training Provider Network (DSTPN) held the annual contest at a ceremony attended by dignitaries, organisers, sponsors, business leaders and special guest and keynote speaker Sonnaz Nooranvary. There were also speeches from Deputy Lieutenant Cleeves Palmer and Superior Managing Director Tim Brown.
Also attending were Dorset Chamber President Gareth Sherwood, MP for Christchurch Sir Christopher Chope, Coastland College principal Kate Wills, Health Sciences University Vice-Chancellor Prof Lesley Haig, Bournemouth University Vice-Chancellor Prof Alison Honour and SWRAC Managing Director Adrian Gunner.
Dorset Chamber Chief Executive Ian Girling said: “Congratulations to all of the winners for their richly deserved successes.
“It was a difficult choice to select them from another exceptional field of entries this year, which once again showed the commitment of employers to training and the immense talent pool among Dorset’s apprentices.
“My thanks go to all who entered and supported this year’s awards as a wonderful celebration of the valuable contribution apprentices make to their employers, the local economy and the community in Dorset.”
