A fundraising gala was held to raise money to purchase power generators to help Ukrainians survive winter.
A charity gala was held on 14 December to raise funds to purchase power generators.
The event, which was organised by Ukraine Relief and held at the Carrington Hotel Bournemouth, included an awards ceremony recognising the contributions of volunteers to the organisation. The awards were presented by the Bournemouth Mayor Cllr Bob Lawton, with recipients given Ukraine Relief Award and chain.
Among those recognised was Cllr Hanson Graham from Ferndown Town Council, who organised the Ferndown collection efforts at the Barrington Centre, with more than 20 truck loads of aid items taken from Ferndown to the main Ukraine Relief premises at Castlepoint.
Guests at the event included representatives from Ukraine and the Polish embassy, along with members of other charities.
