Verwood reveals plans to mark Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
A variety of events are planned for June 2022 including a village fair, concerts, a church service and a teddy bear’s picnic.
Verwood Town Council has already made plans to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June next year.
And there will be lots happening.
Events include a Vintage Village Fair and demonstrations on Verwood Memorial Recreation Ground and Ferrett Green; A teddy bear’s picnic; an evening of local bands at the Verwood Hub; a church service on the Verwood Memorial Recreation Ground and a Verwood Concert Brass concert.
In addition there will be street parties if residents want to hold them with the town council offering help with organising.
A spokesman said: “The town council will be looking to work with the carnival committee and other clubs and societies to make this a fabulous weekend of celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.”
