Volunteers needed for Priest's House Museum in Wimborne
The Priest’s House Museum & Garden in Wimborne is holding information sessions at the museum for new volunteers on 7 and 27 April 2017.
The museum needs people who are interested in helping in the Tea Room, Tourist Information Centre and Learning Team. The sessions held at 10am on both days are being organised as part of ‘Discover Wimborne’, an initiative by Wimborne BID.
It isn’t essential to have experience as training will be given. What the museum needs is your enthusiasm and they’ll provide the rest. As part of the team, you will be contributing to over 10,000 hours of volunteering given by the local community to the museum.
So, to discover more about volunteering at the museum go along to an informal meeting, where you will have an opportunity to find out more about these opportunities, get a chance to look around the museum, and meet some of the volunteers along with taking some light refreshments and getting a look behind the scenes.
If you have a morning or even a day to spare but can’t manage those dates, please contact Andy Fairhurst on 01202 882533, email afairhurst@priest-house.co.uk or visit the website at www.priest-house.co.uk.
‘Discover Wimborne’ takes place this April, when Wimborne will be hosting a range of business, culture, food & drink and shopping related events to encourage visitors and locals alike to explore the delights of the town and discover Wimborne as a destination.
