West Moors artist Michael Jones’ work is on display at the Regent in Christchurch.
He is making his second visit to the centre, following a highly successful exhibition in 2013. This time Michael has over 25 examples of his work on display, mainly in watercolours but with some line-work in ink. He uses a bold and direct approach of colour and tone to achieve a fascinating mix of traditional and contemporary styles.
Michael’s inspiration comes from rural Dorset, especially the stone cottages, old churches and farm buildings from the Isle of Purbeck.
The free exhibition starts on Saturday 23 January and is open from 10am daily until Friday 13 February.
