Wimborne’s Christmas lights to be switched on
The popular event, which had to be cancelled last year, will take place this Saturday 27 November at 4.30pm.

There will be a full day of music and entertainment on Saturday 27 November ahead of the Christmas lights being switched on.
Dorset Youth Marching Band kicks off proceedings at 11am. This is followed at 11.15am with children’s entertainer Jamie Jambo. Susie Kimbo will be performing at 12.15pm with Soul Party at 1.15pm, Blue Moon Boys at 2.15pm and Big Night Out at 3.15pm. There will be speeches at 4.15pm with the light switch on at 4.30pm.
This will be followed by Love Soul Choir, and the event will close at 5.15pm with the Wimborne Militia on the Minster Green.
There will be collections during the day for the Mayor’s charities, Diverse Abilities and High Mead Farm.
