Woman injured in Poole hit and run
Police are appealing for not only residents with any CCTV footage to come forward but also the driver of the car involved.
A woman in her 40s received injuries when a car failed to stop in Western Road on Thursday 17 October.
Dorset Police received a report at 3.38pm that the woman had parked her silver Mercedes Benz C200 and was assisting her child out of the backseat when another vehicle collided with the open car door.
The door struck the woman, causing her to fall to the ground. It was reported that the other vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that included a laceration to her neck but were not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
Police Constable Erin Andrews, of Poole police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“I would also urge anyone with dashcam who was driving in the vicinity on the afternoon of Thursday 17 October, as well as any local residents with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, to please check any footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.
“Finally, I would like to appeal directly to the motorist involved in this collision to do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
