Sixteen pupils from Allenbourn Middle School in Wimborne recently had the chance to display their fashion skills at a fabulous show, hosted by Corfe Hills School. The Allenbourn children, aged 11 to 13, were part of an event that included other local middle schools, as well as older students from Corfe Hills and Poole High schools. In front of an audience of over 300 parents, staff and friends, they strutted their stuff, modelling the amazing creations they had made themselves. Some of the dresses even included electronic circuits and LEDs, for some very special effects. Head of Design & Technology at Allenbourn, Lorraine March, commented on the extremely high quality of the clothes, and the style and confidence of the young designers. “This is such a celebration of talent, and it has all been done as an extension club, in their own time. The pupils involved have shown huge commitment and dedication, and the results were outstanding.”
