Cyclist injured in Bournemouth hit and run
Police would like to speak to the driver of the car or to anyone who witnessed the collision on Wimborne Road on Tuesday 11 January.
A cyclist in his 50s sustained minor injuries when he was involved in a collision with a car on Wimborne Road at the junction with Rushton Crescent at around 6.15pm on Tuesday 11 January.
It is reported that the car – possibly a blue Volkswagen Polo – failed to stop at the scene.
Police Constable Elliot Penn, of Bournemouth police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police to please come forward.
“I would ask motorists who were travelling in the area and may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please contact Dorset Police.
“Finally, if you were the driver of the vehicle involved, please do the right thing and come forward so we can take your account of what happened.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55220005332.
