The official launch of the British Beach Sports Festival (BBSF) took place at the Customs House on Poole Quay at the end of May.
The festival itself runs over the Bank Holiday weekend of 27-29 August on Canford Cliffs Beach.
Integrating all ages, genders and ability levels, the aims is to bring 72 hours of exercise and education to create a vibrant legacy for beach sports in the area. Highlights of the three-day festival include the national beach soccer championships and a celebrity all-star game of ex professional players competing against one another.
There will also be American Football, Rugby, Volleyball, Netball and Dodgeball in an action-packed weekend. Cocktails, celebrities, VIP parties, live bands, DJs and fireworks will also feature.
The weekend will culminate with The National Beach Soccer Championships on the Monday, where the UK’s best teams will be selected for the European championships.
