Lights, camera, action for Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole
Filming has taken place in Hamworthy, Southbourne and Highcliffe Castle in recent months, generating £225,125 for the local economy.
Lake Pier in Hamworthy, Southbourne and Highcliffe Castle are amongst the locations chosen by high-profile film and TV producers in recent months.
Recent filming activity in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole has generated an estimated £225,125 for the local economy, with spending on accommodation, catering, transport and other local services helping to support businesses across the area and deliver benefits for local communities.
Cllr Rich Herrett, BCP Council Cabinet member for Destination, Leisure & Commercial Operations, said: “We live in a beautiful part of the world, with miles of sandy beaches, stunning coastline and historic buildings, which offer a wealth of possibilities for film and TV projects.
“That’s why it’s been a busy time for the BCP Film Office. Filming is already bringing people to the area, and we expect it to attract even more visitors in the future as fans seek out locations featured on screen.
“We are looking forward to welcoming more productions here in the future and hope our residents have as much fun as we do spotting their favourite local places on the big and small screen.”
