Stars from the BIC Panto Snow White pushed the plunger to switch on the festive lights at Bournemouth’s Castlepoint Shopping Park. Crowds cheered as EastEnders Matt Lapinskas and Gillian Wright, and C5 Milkshake presenter Olivia Birchenough and Noel Brodie were joined by Castlepoint General Manager Peter Matthews to perform the ceremony. Santa and his real reindeer were there to thrill the children and the Centrepoint Elim Church choir sang favourite carols whilst festive characters walked amongst the crowd.
Donations from the proceeds of this year’s Rustic Fayre, organised by the Rotary Club of Verwood and held on August Bank Holiday Monday, were welcomed by local charities and groups from around the area, and the Rotary Club had a surprise in store.
