Highcliffe meeting to discuss controversial Navitus Bay Wind Farm

Highcliffe Community Association is hosting a unique event on Friday, 8 of March from 2.30pm at the Methodist Church Hall in Lymington Road. Navitus Bay Development Ltd will give a presentation for 30 minutes setting out their reasons in favour of building the offshore wind farm in Poole Bay and then the reasons for their opposing the current plans and some possible alternatives will be set out in 30 minutes by Challenge Navitus.

1st Wimborne Girls’ Brigade Company enjoyed a huge balloon launch and a ‘Great Big Party’ to kick start the organisation’s 120th year and to make it one to truly remember. Girls’ Brigade (GB) was started in 1893 in Dublin, Ireland. GB groups have now grown all over the world, providing rewarding, stretching and positive opportunities through which children and young people, between the ages of 4 and 18, grow and develop in confidence and skills in a Christian environment.
