The Planet Wimborne Green Festival began with an eco fair on the Minster Green on Saturday 11 October.

The week-long Planet Wimborne Green Festival begins on Saturday 11 October.

Wimborne’s Minster Environment Group have been finding out what happens to devices donated by local people.

The festival runs from 11–18 October, with the opening ceremony on the Minster Green at 10.30am on 11 October.

Cllr Jeff Hart has raised substantial funds for two charities: Planet Wimborne and the Friends of Victoria Hospital.

Planet Wimborne hosted the event at Wimborne Methodist Hall to give community groups the chance to network.

The Fair Ground shop in the Corn Market took first prize in a competition during Planet Wimborne’s Green Festival.

As part of Planet Wimborne’s Green Festival, local businesses attended a free forum to discuss ideas for reducing their carbon footprint.

The Springwatch TV presenter headlined the opening weekend of Planet Wimborne’s Green Festival with a talk at QE School.

The Planet Wimborne Green Festival takes place from 15-22 October offering a whole host of environmental activities.
