People can either access the collection online or visit the Dorset History Centre in Dorchester to find out more about the Dorset author.

The three-day festival in April saw 100 free and ticketed workshops and many people attending for the first time.

Running from 24–26 April, the festival takes place at venues across the town centre, including the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum.

The writing competition is open to children in Dorset who are invited to create stories and poems about man’s best friend.

The Bournemouth Writing Festival is being organised in conjunction with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
