Teenage arrests following Bournemouth stabbing
Following the stabbing of a 16-year-old, police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with camera footage.
Two teenagers have been arrested following a stabbing in the area of Maclean Road on Sunday 26 April. Dorset Police received a report at 7.18pm that a 16-year-old boy had sustained suspected stab wounds. He was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that were believed to be serious.
A full investigation was launched, and a cordon was put in place to allow for an examination of the scene to be carried out.
Following detailed enquiries, led by detectives from BCP CID, a 17-year-old boy from Poole and a 17-year-old boy from Bournemouth were arrested on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent.
Detective Inspector Neil Jones, of BCP CID, said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries in relation to this incident, and I am keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have information that might assist our investigation.
“I would also ask residents in the area with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras, as well as motorists with a dashcam who were in the vicinity, to please review their footage for anything of relevance.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area, and officers can be approached by members of the public with any information or concerns.”
