Care home marks Dignity Action Day by planting rose

Residents and staff at a Poole care home celebrated Dignity Action Day by planting a commemorative rose.
Colten Care’s Canford Chase in Branksome Park joined hundreds of homes across the UK to mark the special day.
Held annually, Dignity Action Day is an opportunity for health, social care workers and members of the public to uphold people’s rights to dignity.
It aims to ensure people who use care services are treated as individuals and given choice, control and a sense of purpose in their daily lives.
Sylvie Craig-Swainson, Canford Chase’s Activity Organiser, said the residential and nursing care home always made a particular point of marking the day.
