Animal Defenders International have rescued 33 lions, 24 from circuses in Peru and nine from Colombia, after both countries banned the use of wild animals in circuses. The lions will be returned to their homeland on Friday 29 April when they will be flying to a destination in the natural African bush at Emoya Big Cat Sanctuary, South Africa.
