Ferndown Gals make friends and boost step counts

Recently, Kate Gross created a Ferndown Gals walk and chat group on Facebook that rapidly picked up over 340 members. And the group’s first gathering just took part in their premiere evening walk, with 29 ladies showing up.

The group is all about bringing local women together to enjoy the outdoors, get some fresh air, have a chat and make new connections. It creates a chance for them to take some time for themselves and meet other lovely local ladies in a safe and inclusive space, enjoy nature and help build community spirit.

Future walks will take place on Thursdays at 6pm, with other events planned. You can ask permission to join the private group here. The ladies’ group comes hot on the heels of the Ferndown Fella’s who have been up and about for a few months, so there’s no excuse for 18+ locals not to get involved with one group or the other.
