Good Oaks Home Care offering free visit to NHS staff
If you work at Poole Hospital, you are able to get a free care or shopping visit for your elderly relatives.
The visits are being offered by Good Oaks Home Care in a gesture intending to give back to NHS workers in the community.
Every NHS staff member at Poole Hospital can claim one free Covid-secure care visit for their loved ones. Visits are for up to two hours and the carer can go shopping, deliver medicines or just pop by for companionship and help around the home.
Ben Ashton, co-founder of Good Oaks Home Care, said, “We wanted to do something to thank our NHS workers and support them and their loved ones – it’s our way to say thank you and help care for the people that care for us.
“We know the importance of outstanding care for elderly loved ones, and we also know that this last year has been a worrying and challenging time for families. This is our way to say thank you to the NHS workers who have been working so hard, while also caring for, and worrying about, their own loved ones. Their dedication, commitment and strength are an inspiration to us all, and we hope this offer will help to give them a little more peace of mind as they continue to work saving lives every day.
“We hope our team can help, whether that’s by collecting medications or dropping off the shopping and lighten the load just a little.”
All visits will be conducted according to the Good Oaks’ proprietary Covid-19 secure standard for infection control, which goes above and beyond sector guidelines to ensure the utmost Covid-19 security.
