Lucky escape for man driving in Poole
Police would like to hear from anyone who could identify the two youngsters who were on the bridge above the Upton Bypass.
A man in his 20s had a lucky escape when his car was hit by a stone as he was driving along the Upton Bypass between the Upton and Creekmoor junctions.
The incident, in which the windscreen was damaged, took place at around 7.55pm on Monday 20 April. Thankfully, the driver sustained no injuries.
Two young people were seen on the bridge above the road as the man drove underneath.
Police Constable Mark Mills, of Dorset Police, said: “This was extremely dangerous behaviour by the individuals involved that could have had serious consequences for the motorist.
“We carried out searches of the area to try and locate the suspects, but this was unsuccessful and our efforts are ongoing to identify them.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and either witnessed the incident or may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please get in touch.”
