Men arrested following robbery and criminal damage in Blandford
Dorset Police are seeking information following a robbery in Church Lane and subsequent damage to police vehicles.
Four people, including three teenagers, were arrested following a robbery in the area of Church Lane on Monday 13 April.
At around 2.30pm, a man in his 30s was reportedly approached by three men – one of whom was known to the victim. He was assaulted and it was further reported that he subsequently discovered his phone and wallet had been stolen.
Officers have been carrying out a number of enquiries, including searches in the area of Windmill Road. It was reported that as these searches were being conducted, two police vehicles had their windows smashed.
Two men – aged 52 and 18 – were arrested on suspicion of robbery. The 18-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possessing class B drugs with intent to supply. Both men were released on police bail.
Following further enquiries, another 18-year-old local man has also been arrested on suspicion of robbery and released on police bail as investigative work continues.
A 16-year-old boy has also been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in relation to the damaged police vehicle and he has also been released on police bail.
Local officers have been carrying out enhanced high visibility patrols in the area and can be approached by anyone with information or concerns.
