Motorcyclist seriously injured on the Dorset Way
Police are appealing for dashcam footage or witnesses to the collision which took place on Wednesday 29 October.
A 24-year-old Poole man, who was riding a blue Kawasaki motorbike, sustained life-threatening injuries when he was involved in a collision with a red Jeep Avenger on the A3049 Dorset Way on Wednesday 29 October.
The collision, which was reported to police at 4.26pm, happened on the eastbound carriageway prior to the Old Wareham Road roundabout.
A road closure was put in place to enable emergency services to attend the scene.
Police Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this collision and I would ask anyone with dashcam footage, who has not spoken with police yet, to please come forward.
“I am keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened or the manner of driving or riding of the vehicles involved prior to the collision.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience while the road closure was in place during a busy time of the day. This was necessary for us to be able to safely attend to the injured person and carry out an examination of the scene.”
