Supercar show rolls in to Canford

The fifth Canford Classic and Super Car Show took place at Canford School near Wimborne on last Sunday, raising £2,000 for charity.

A grandee roster of marques including Ferrari, Mercedes, Aston Martin, Porsche and many more took to the school’s parched grass lawns and sunken garden. In total, over 700 cards were on show, and, just in time, the A31 reopened to smooth the flow of luxury traffic and visitors.

Over 5,000 petrolheads attended the show to photograph and get up-close with some of the world’s most expensive and rarest cars.

New to the event was the Sunken Lawn Showcase: A centrepiece display featuring limited-production hypercars and ultra-rare collector models set against historic gothic architecture. There was also an inaugural Canford Parade, featuring the best 15 selected cars across Hypercars, Supercars, Classic & Rally Cars.

There were also three Rev-Off competitions, including our first dedicated Classic Rev-Off. The event raised nearly £2,000 for children’s charities through Sporting Bears.

Other features included Paddocks for Everyone with dedicated zones for modern supercars, classic car clubs, and heritage restorations. Along with a family-friendly environment complete including children’s activity zones, live music, and street food vendors.

For lovers of the less exotic, there was everything from classic pristine Mini and Triumph models, to sports cars with historic colour schemes to hit that nostalgic chord. A roaring success, if you missed this year’s event, mark the 2027 edition in your diary.
