Teenage motorcyclist seriously injured in Ferndown
Dorset Police are appealing for witnesses and particularly want to speak to the member of the public who gave an incorrect phone number.
A 19-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision on the A347 New Road at the junction with Dudsbury Avenue.
The incident occurred at around 1.55pm on Sunday 20 September involving a grey Nissan Qashqai and a green Kawasaki motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was taken to hospital but the driver of the car was not injured.
Police Constable Lauren Hobkirk, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “I am appealing to any witnesses – or anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage – to please get in contact with us.
“I would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have seen the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to the collision.
“A member of the public who witnessed the collision did leave their details, but the number was incorrect. I would ask them to please contact us directly.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dorset Police online or by calling 101, quoting occurrence number 55260147341. Alternatively, independent charity Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously online using its website or by calling Freephone 0800 555 111.
