Three on murder charge following teenager’s death in Poole
Kyeron Wheeler, 18, was found with stab wound injuries in Longfleet Road. He died a short time later in hospital.
Three men, two from out of the area, have been charged following the death of a teenager in Poole on Friday 19 June.
Dorset Police received a report at 2.13am that a man had been located with injuries in Longfleet Road.
The victim, 18-year-old Kyeron Wheeler, was taken to hospital for treatment for a suspected stab wound, where he was very sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
It is believed the victim sustained injuries during an incident in Dale Close and was taken to Longfleet Road in a car.
Detectives from Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT) have been leading a comprehensive investigation into events during the early hours of Friday 19 June and, following their enquiries, three men have now been charged with murder.
The three men charged are:
- Oluwadamilare Aremu, 22, of Bletchley in Buckinghamshire
- Trevor Gonzo, 22, of London
- Callum Roberts, 20, of Blandford
The three men have also been charged with possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place, acquiring/using/possessing criminal property and two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A.
Roberts has also been charged with an additional count of possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
All three men were due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today on Tuesday 23 June 2026.
Detective Superintendent Neil Third, of MCIT, said: “This has been a complex and fast-moving investigation as we have worked diligently to piece together the circumstances surrounding this incident.
“Our thoughts remain very much with the family and loved ones of Kyeron Wheeler and we have continued to keep the family updated with developments in the investigation.
“After extensive enquiries, we have consulted with the Crown Prosecution Service and it has authorised charges of murder against three suspects.
“This matter will now be the subject of active court proceedings, and it is vital that the criminal justice process is allowed to follow its course without prejudice. It would therefore be inappropriate for us to comment any further on the circumstances surrounding this incident at this time, and we would urge members of the public to refrain from speculation and sharing of information online or on social media.
“Our officers will continue to provide an increased policing presence in areas impacted by this incident as we fully recognise the impact on the local community. These officers can be approached by anyone with questions or concerns.”
