Based near Wool in Dorset is a sanctuary housing over 240 rescued and endangered primates.

Monkey World was set up in 1987 by Jim Cronin to provide abused Spanish beach chimps with a permanent, stable home. Today, the centre is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of apes from around the world.

Monkey World has kindly offered Dorset View readers the chance to win a children’s adoption package. The package includes an entrance pass to the park for one year, a photograph of your chosen primate, a personalised adoption certificate, three issues of the ‘Ape Rescue Chronicle’, plus the opportunity to take part in exclusive events.

The child adoption pack is the perfect prize for the little monkey in your own life.

To enter the prize draw, you’ll need to visit the Monkey World website and find the answer to the following question:

In what year did Amy the orang-utan give birth to Gordon?

You can find the answer by visiting monkeyworld.org/our-primates/primate-groups/gordons-orang-utans/ and learning about Gordon’s orang-utans.

Terms and conditions

Closing date is 3 July 2026. The first correct answer drawn will be the winner. Employees of Pulford Publicity Ltd are not permitted to enter. There is no cash alternative. The editor’s decision is final. Personal details will be stored securely and will only be processed to determine the winner of the competition and allocate the prize. The winner will be announced in the magazine.
