Cowboys in Space arrive at Wimborne museum

A museum isn’t a place where you would normally expect to find some cows – but you could in Wimborne. The Museum of East Dorset is staging its Cowboys in Space mission which runs from Saturday 3 October to Saturday 3 November.

A herd of cows has been abducted by mischievous aliens, and the cowboys need help to bring them home. Young explorers can search for the missing cows hidden throughout the museum and complete a series of space-themed challenges along the way.

Youngsters can get ready for their mission with a life-sized Balancing Bronco challenge or test their strength with the Rocket Striker challenge. In the garden there is a giant space-themed marble maze.

Visitors can also get creative at the craft table, dress up as cowboys, cowgirls, astronauts or cows and enjoy themed photo opportunities – including the humongous rocket waiting for visitors in the garden.
