Inaugural Swanage Shanty Festival lines up 12 acts

Saturday 21 November will see Swanage rocking and hauling to the sounds of a first-ever all-day shanty festival. The Swanage Shanty Festival’s doors open at 13.30, with music starting at 2pm and playing all the way through until 11pm.

The festival’s maiden voyage plays host to a line-up of shanty bands from the south and south-west, each bringing their own distinct energy, harmony and instrumental flair to classic songs of the sea.

Acts include Bridport Broadsides, Sea Gels Shanty Band, Poole Me Hearties, Wareham Whalers and dual headliners, Dorset Wrecks and Kelp! All profits from the event go to the RNLI. Find out more at https://www.swanageshantyfest.co.uk/
