Crematorium raises funds for Poole hospice
The responsible recycling of metals has enabled Harbour View to donate £12,714.78 to Forest Holme Hospice Charity.
A crematorium which recycles metals has donated £12,714.78 to Forest Holme Hospice Charity.
Harbour View Crematorium at Lytchett Minster works with a specialist recycling company in mainland Europe to responsibly recycle metals remaining after the cremation process. Funds generated through the scheme are donated to support local hospice care, with Forest Holme receiving a significant share each year.
Harbour View is to continue to support the hospice throughout 2026 as its charity of the year.
Steven Tapper from Harbour View said: “Part of our philosophy is to be mindful of recycling whenever we can and, of course, Forest Holme is such a valued and important part of society here in Poole and the surrounding area. To be able to raise a significant amount of money for local hospice care is something that all of our team are passionate about.”
Kirsty Perks, fundraiser at Forest Holme Hospice Charity, said: “The hospice really values its longstanding relationship with Harbour View, and we are so grateful for this generous donation, which will help ensure our team can deliver the highest level of care, when and where it counts.”
