Driver dies in Holton Heath collision
Dorset Police are keen to secure footage or any witnesses to the collision which took place in the early hours of Sunday 1 June.
A driver sadly died in a one-vehicle collision in Holton Heath on Sunday 1 June.
Dorset Police received a report at 5.35am from the ambulance service of a collision on Wareham Road, between the Bakers Arms Roundabout and the entrance to the Romany Business Park, involving a silver Ford Fiesta Flight.
Emergency services attended and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His family has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond to the incident and for a detailed examination of the collision scene to be carried out.
Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “Our thoughts go out to the family and loved ones of the man who very sadly died in this collision.
“We are continuing to carry out a detailed investigation to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“I would urge any witnesses, or anyone who may have captured relevant dashcam footage or doorbell CCTV in the local area, to please make contact with us.
“Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding during the road closures.”
