Find the Soden Stones this Christmas

So much Christmas joy is organised by councils, entertainment groups and, of course, families. But it is good to see one family going to great lengths to entertain and reward their communities.

Enter the quest for the Soden Stones, little hand-painted pebbles that keen-eyed locals around Verwood, Ringwood and Ferndown might find on walks or while exploring. Come November, 150 Soden Stones will be secreted around the area, decorated by the Long family behind Soden Groundworks, after originating as an idea to keep their children busy.

The is for locals to find these stone, report them on the company’s Facebook page or Ringwood Noticeboard using #SodenStones, and then hide them again for others to find, and to see how far the stones can spread. There’s a £100 cash prize, declared on 1 December for a randomly selected winner, so get hunting across November.
