New home for Ringwood Men’s Shed
Cllr Andy Briers said Ringwood Town Council wants to make the best possible use of our community facilities.
Ringwood Men’s Shed has moved into the former cricket pavilion at Carvers Recreation Ground with the lease provided by Ringwood Town Council.
The new premises will provide opportunities for the group to improve and adapt the building over time, helping it to develop its activities.
Cllr Andy Briers, chairman of Ringwood Town Council’s Recreation, Leisure and Open Spaces Committee said: “As a Council, we want to make the best possible use of our community facilities, and this is a good example of how working with local organisations can help us achieve that.
“The Men’s Shed provides a valuable service to the town, bringing people together, sharing skills and helping to build friendships. Having a dedicated space will allow the group to develop its activities and make improvements to the building over time.”
The lease was recently formally signed, with the Mayor, Deputy Mayor and Town Clerk attending to mark the occasion.
Ringwood Men’s Shed will initially be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays: 10am – 1pm. https://www.ringwoodmensshed.co.uk/
