Helpful Hounds bring waggy-tailed joy to Ferndown care home residents
Helpful therapy hounds bring joy to Kings Park Care Home residents.
Missing a much-loved pet can be one of the sad points of care home life, but the tide of visiting animals goes a long way to providing a much-needed connection for residents.
Take the visiting Helpful Hounds visiting residents at Kings Park Care Home in Ferndown. Therapy dogs Umber and Iris are always good for scritches, tummy rubs, and a soulful connecting stare.
Bournemouth based Helpful Hounds Assistance Dogs is a UK registered charity dedicated to transforming lives through the incredible partnership between people and dogs.
Umber and Iris’ visit brought smiles, cuddles and plenty of tail wags – the kind of joy only a cute, furry companion can bring, while for others, Umber and Iris sparked precious memories of their own beloved pooches.
General Manager, Jenna May, said, “A heartfelt thank you to Helpful Hounds for bringing Umber and Iris to Kings Park. We look forward to welcoming them back soon.”
