Journalist and broadcaster Kate Adie is coming to Wimborne Minster.
The mayor of Wimborne Minster’s chosen charities will benefit from an evening with Adie, which takes place at the Allendale Community Centre on Friday 17 July from 7.30pm–9pm.
From Tripoli to Tiananmen Square, from Belfast to Bosnia — and countless frontlines in between — Kate Adie is renowned for her fearless, straight-talking journalism and calm reporting under pressure.
Her distinguished career has earned her an OBE, the BAFTA Fellowship and several honorary degrees.
She is also the author of four books, including her autobiography ‘The Kindness of Strangers’, alongside ‘Corsets to Camouflage’, ‘Nobody’s Child’ and her latest work, ‘Into Danger’.
As the long-standing presenter of the BBC’s flagship radio programme ‘From Our Own Correspondent’, Adie continues to provide thoughtful reflections and unique perspectives on global events and the realities of frontline reporting in an ever-changing digital world.
This special event offers a rare opportunity to hear first-hand from one of the country’s most experienced and respected voices in journalism.
Tickets can be booked online via the Allendale website or by calling 01202 887247.
