Poole hospice recognises super fundraiser

A charity golf day has over the past six years raised £57,776.65 for Forest Holme Hospice with the man behind it receiving recognition from the charity.

Paul Payne has been supported by his wife Lorraine, alongside family, friends, players, volunteers and sponsors, with the Knighton Heath Golf Club Forest Holme Charity Golf Day.

Paul’s fundraising efforts have also gained national recognition. In 2025, Paul won a trip of a lifetime on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway after his son secretly nominated him, highlighting his remarkable commitment to raising funds for Forest Holme Hospice and other charitable causes.

Kirsty Perks, corporate and community fundraiser at the charity said: “On behalf of everyone at Forest Holme Hospice, we extend our sincere thanks to Paul for everything he has done, and continues to do, for the hospice and the wider community.
