Teenager dies of stab wound in Poole
Dorset Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in Dale Close or Longfleet Road in the early hours of Friday 19 June.
An 18-year-old Poole man died following a stabbing today, Friday 19 June.
Dorset Police received a report at 2.13am that a man had been found with injuries in Longfleet Road.
The victim was taken into hospital for treatment to a suspected stab wound. Very sadly, he was pronounced dead a short time later. His family has been informed.
Following initial early enquiries, it is believed that the victim may have sustained his injuries during an incident in Dale Close and was taken to Longfleet Road in a car.
A road closure was put in place at Longfleet Road to allow for fast-time detailed enquiries to be carried out. This was lifted at around 7am.
A cordon is in place in Dale Close to enable an examination of the suspected scene to be conducted.
Detective Superintendent Neil Third, of Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the young man who has tragically died.
“An investigation is underway by detectives, and we are working at pace to determine the full circumstances of what has happened.
“I would ask anyone who has witnessed anything suspicious in Dale Close or Longfleet Road in the early hours of Friday 19 June 2026 to please get in touch.
“If any residents or motorists have captured anything of relevance on either home CCTV or dashcam footage, please come forward.
“There will be a heightened police presence in the area while our enquiries are carried out, and we would encourage anyone with information or concerns to please speak with us.”
