Celebrate the life of ZZ Top’s Frank Beard with the ZZ Toppd show in Wimborne

There was sad news overnight for rock and blues fans as ZZ Top’s legendary drummer Frank Beard’s passing was announced by the band at the age of 77. The band was in the middle of a US The Big One! Tour.

The Texan trio is now down to surviving member Billy Gibbons. But the music will live on, the tour will resume shortly, and Dorset locals can hear the band’s music at full volume soon.

Tribute act ZZ Toppd is set to play the Wimborne Tivoli on 12 September, playing hits from the legendary albums, Eliminator, Afterburner and more across a 57-year career.

The Essex-based act is on a huge tour of the UK, stretching into 2027 with a full ensemble of beards, legendary spinning guitars and effects, only missing the Eliminator car.
