Culinary delights at Highcliffe Food & Arts Festival
The annual food and arts festival in Highcliffe enjoyed stunning weather this past weekend.
Warm sun, cool sea breeze, tasty food and amazing art. These were just some of the highlights of the two-day Highcliffe Food & Arts Festival on 13–14 June.
The weekend-long celebration of cuisine and culture featured a market for artisans and local crafters to sell their wares, and a wide variety of foods from around the world.
Visitors enjoyed listening to live music at various stages around the festival, which was situated on Highcliffe Recreation Ground and along the High Street, as well as enjoying fresh coffee (or a cold drink from the Outland Brewery beet tent).
Children enjoyed the family-friendly activities, including a circus skills workshop, while adults could learn new skills and ideas from the demo tent dubbed Mary’s Kitchen, name after the festival’s founder Mary Reader.
One stallholder selling speciality cocktails praised the festival, saying it had been a busy and successful market.
Well done to the organisers for another successful event.
