Dorset mayors welcomed to Civic Day
Civic dignitaries from across the county attended a civic day hosted by the Mayor of Wimborne Minster, Cllr Jeff Hart.
The Mayor of Wimborne Minster hosted the annual Civic Day on Wednesday 15 April.
The High Sheriff of Dorset, Callum Bremner, alongside mayors from across the county, was welcomed by Cllr Jeff Hart, accompanied by the Mayoress, Mrs Barbara Hart. They were joined by the town crier and Serjant, Chris Brown.
The morning began with guided tours of the gardens and house at Kingston Lacy.
The group then enjoyed lunch at The Little Pickle at the Mill, followed by a visit to Walford Mill.
Cllr Hart said: “It was a pleasure to welcome colleagues from across Dorset to Wimborne Minster. Civic Day is a wonderful opportunity to share what makes our town so special — from our historic landmarks to our talented local makers. We are proud of our community and delighted to showcase all it has to offer.”
