Dorset U15s basketball teams excel in regional tournament
Dorset boys’ and girls’ under 15s basketball teams are celebrating second and third place respectively in the South West England Regional Inter-County Tournament held on 23 and 24 April.

Ringwood Seals took part in the Dorset Novice League by special invitation and won the first two rounds, this took them into the final knowing that they had to beat Poole (who had won the last four years) to win the trophy.
Queen’s Park Golf Course is home to the Bournemouth Open – now in its 65th year. Entries are currently being accepted for competitors in this amateur tournament organised by the BAGC in June. This year, some of the competitions are being held at Meyrick Park Golf Course too.
Braeside Bowling Club offers year-round bowling on its artificial surface – or ‘magic carpet’. The Sportsman Dinner held at Wimborne Town FC on 31 March was a successful fundraiser for the club.
