There was a warm welcome from the crowd for the switching on of the town’s lights, despite the chilly temperatures.

For a little piece of nostalgia to put you in the mood for Christmas take a trip to the Museum of East Dorset in Wimborne during December.

The popular event, which had to be cancelled last year, will take place this Saturday 27 November at 4.30pm.

To mark the 70th anniversary season of the charity attraction, a 100th scale Model of the Model is being created.

People flocked to the Allendale Centre in Wimborne to browse the 24 stands at the annual Wimborne in Bloom Charities Fair.

Crafters and the public were pleased to welcome back Wimborne Rotary’s craft fair which was held at the Allendale Centre.

The Remembrance service in Colehill returned to its normal format this year following the cancellation of the event last year.

Taking place on Saturday 4 December in Wimborne, the event which covers a 2k or 5k course, raises funds for children’s charities.
