It is hoped that people attending the Wimborne Minster Folk Festival and other events around the town will use the Wimborne cup.

After giving 280 Signal Squadron the Freedom of the Town, Wimborne Minster has exchanged plaques with the military unit.

The event will take place over Julian’s Bridge from Friday 30 May to Sunday 1 June and this year has longer hours and reduced ticket prices.

A food bank in Wimborne was broken into during the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Anyone who witnessed this series of events on Saturday 19 April and who hasn’t yet spoken to the police should come forward.

Vikki Slade, Mid Dorset and North Poole MP, visited the Friends of Victoria Hospital, Wimborne at the beginning of April.

People who have views on the operation of an incinerator on the Canford Resource Park are urged to contact The Environment Agency.
