Teenage motorcyclist seriously injured in Dorset
Dorset Police are hoping to speak to anyone who travelled in the Hurn Road area on Saturday 11 April and witnessed the collision.
A teenage motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries when he was involved in a single vehicle collision between the junctions with Avon Avenue and Avon Castle Road on Saturday 11 April.
Dorset Police received a report at 4.18pm of the incident involving a white KTM motorcycle.
Emergency services attended and the male motorcyclist was taken to hospital.
Road closures were put in place to allow the emergency services to respond and for an examination of the scene to be carried out.
Sergeant Dave Cotterill, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this collision and I am keen to hear from any witnesses who have not already spoken to police.
“I would also urge anyone who was travelling in the area of Hurn Road around the relevant time to please check any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything that might assist our investigation.
“Finally, I would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding during the road closures. These are necessary to allow the emergency services to safely respond and for a thorough examination of the scene to be conducted.”
