The railway was closed in 2018, but work is to start this week to bring the service back in the spring next year.
There was a warm welcome from the crowd for the switching on of the town’s lights, despite the chilly temperatures.
The popular event, which had to be cancelled last year, will take place this Saturday 27 November at 4.30pm.
Back in concert for the first time in two years, Vivamente Voices will be at St Nicholas’ Church, Corfe Mullen, on Saturday 11 December.
There is now less than a week before the start of the Christchurch Living Advent Calendar, with entertainment each day in December.
Organised by Fordingbridge Events Group, the Christmas Glow promises to be a great event with a huge range of activities for all.
Crafters and the public were pleased to welcome back Wimborne Rotary’s craft fair which was held at the Allendale Centre.
Fordingbridge Town Council have announced a reduced scale light switch on event for 2021 to be held on 27 November in Market Place.
Taking place on Saturday 4 December in Wimborne, the event which covers a 2k or 5k course, raises funds for children’s charities.
