Delayed from June this year, the annual event attracted more than 600 people despite the history festival taking place in the town on the same day.

There will be lots of entertainment at the Mini Steam and Vintage Day, including music and steam traction engine rides.

The attraction is offering free admission to juniors for the Wimborne Bear Day on Sunday 3 October when there will be lots of activities.

There is an exhibition and sale of original paintings by members of Wimborne Art Club at Walford Mill in Knobcrook Road.

Events taking place on Saturday 18 September include a climbing wall and a Teddy Bear Zip Dip – so bring your teddy.

Jo Elkington and Leo MacKenzie have taken over the reins of the club from stalwart Paul Burke who ran it for 23 years.

The community sing-a-long is resuming and the choir are to meet again at St Martin’s United Reformed Church, in addition to a harvest concert.

Following last year’s cancellation as a result of the pandemic the Nyetimber Dorset Seafood Festival will be back on 11 and 12 September.

The much-anticipated Bournemouth Air Festival starts today and runs until Sunday, and will be staged between Bournemouth and Boscombe piers.
